OT Screener

The early years of a child's life are crucial, as this is a period of intensive brain development, especially in sensory, motor, cognitive, and emotional aspects.

Research shows that the developing brain is most receptive to learning new skills during this important period. A child's development is influenced by various factors, including genetics, relationships, exposure to new experiences, and environment, resulting in physical, cognitive, and emotional changes.

It's important to observe and monitor your child's development to ensure they reach their developmental milestones.

An occupational therapist (OT) can use an OT screener to observe your child at play, assess their fine and gross motor skills, and gather information about their emotional responses, executive functioning skills, sensory differences, and participation in everyday routines.

This helps ensure early intervention and reduces potential long-term difficulties that may affect their social relationships, independence, and confidence in learning activities.
